Armchair Scotland fans are facing a TV blackout for the Nations League double header against Croatia and Portugal.

Steve Clarke’s men are looking to bounce back from defeats to Poland and Portugal in their opening fixtures in the section with a trip to Zagreb on Saturday tea-time followed by Cristiano Ronaldo and Co heading to Hampden for their return clash after the superstar netted a last-gasp winner in Lisbon last month.

But, in a similar situation to last month, with the clock ticking down to the crucial two games NO broadcaster has selected either fixture which means only the travelling Tartan Army heading to Maksimir Stadium and Mount Florida a few days later will be able to see the game.

ITV stepped in at the eleventh hour last month to screen the the games but haven’t yet shown their hand and that will cause national team supporters desperate to see the action real concern.

Viaplay had agreed a deal with UEFA to show all Scotland’s games until 2028 but that was scrapped, leaving the fixtures free for other broadcasters to pick up.
