TOWIE reality star Megan McKenna has given birth to her first child with ex-Celtic and Scotland international fiancé Oliver Burke.
The 31-year-old singer-songwriter, who rose to stardom on the reality show, shared the news on Instagram with a sweet video of her first hours with her baby, Landon Henry Burke – who was born on Monday morning.
The collection featured several adorable clips of the infant, including her in the hospital bed and Landon breastfeeding, the Mirror reports. Another showed her fiancé, the 26-year-old former Hoops star, holding the newborn in the hospital room while swaying from side to side.
She also uploaded a video of the moment she gave birth and the minutes after, with Oliver supporting her throughout. Friends, family, and fans swarmed to the comments section after hearing the good news, with many offering Megan and her fiancé congratulations.
Megan’s sister Milly McKenna said: “Oh our beautiful baby Landon, he is so loved already. I can’t wait to do auntie duties all over again [crying face emoji] love you all so so much can’t wait to give him the biggest cuddles.”
One fan posted: “Oh babe! Huge congratulations! We are boy mums together! Gorgeous name! Enjoy the bubble, it’s the best.” Another said: “OMG! Congratulations to you both. You will be amazing parents. Sending you much love.”
The couple announced they were expecting a baby together on social media in April. Footage showed the couple – who have been dating since April last year and became engaged last June – kissing and cuddling in a bathroom after taking two pregnancy tests that confirmed their happy news. The clip then showed Megan laughing and smiling while undergoing an ultrasound.
As the couple gaze at the scan, beaming from ear-to-ear, their famous friends flocked to congratulate them. TOWIE Fern McCann was among those to send her best wishes – writing: “Ohhhhhhhhh darling wowwwww co granulations.”
Meanwhile, Love Island star Liberty Poole gushed: “Congrats beautifulx, so excited for you” along with a string of heart emojis. While Jacqueline Jossa – who is married to former Towie star Dan Osborne – responded simply with a number of heart emojis.
Megan and Oliver’s romance has raced along since they first went public with their relationship in April last year. The pair stunned fans when they announced their engagement just two months later with a romantic proposal video showing the moment the footballer got down on one knee while holidaying with the reality star in Montenegro.
Megan told fans: “YES YES YES a thousand times YES. You have opened up a world I never thought was possible. I love you Oliver Burke… here’s to forever, my future husband.”
