Lauryn Goodman has reportedly reached out to the parents of Kyle Walker, asking them to keep their relationship with her and the footballer’s children intact. The mother of two, who has two children with the England footballer, also refuted suggestions that she should stop criticising Kyle’s lack of involvement in their children’s lives because he provides financial support.

Kyle, who also has four sons with his on-off wife Annie Kilner, has previously stated that he has no relationship with Lauryn’s children, Kairo and Kinara Walker. During an appearance on the Yours Sincerely podcast with Lisa Andrews, Lauryn also dismissed allegations that she forces her son Kairo to talk about his famous father in social media videos and revealed when Kyle’s parents stopped communicating with their grandchildren despite having had a relationship with them before.

At one point during the podcast, after discussing trolling with Helen Flanagan, Lauryn read out a message from a fan thanking her for publicly sharing her custody struggles. “I’m hoping tomorrow will be the beginning of a new chapter and a happier life I can’t wait to feel free again,” the fan’s message reads.

“I just hope I can find the strength to stay away for good this time not just for me but for my little girl too. Thank you for sharing your journey with us fans and for giving me the strength to take this big step once and for all now.”

Lauryn, visibly moved by a heartfelt message, shared her feelings with co-host Lisa Andrews: “So sad but if this message doesn’t like make me want to continue my journey in public I don’t know what would because for me… I mean even just saying ‘your strength has kept me going these last few months’ – she’s a mum! My heart goes out to her.”

She then addressed a direct message from an Instagram user who had told her “you get money, you should be fine. Stop complaining, your kids get a good life”.

Lauryn responded with a sharp retort: “why are you talking about money? I’m into sentimental things,” and Lisa chimed in with the poignant reminder that “Money isn’t love! ” Addressing accusations of scripting her son Kairo’s comments about his father Kyle on social media, Lauryn said: “I mean, do people think that I sit there going ‘rehearse this line?'” She dismissed such claims as absurd, questioning why she would prompt her child to discuss such matters, reports the Mirror.

Moving on, Lauryn answered a fan’s question regarding whether Kyle’s family plays a role in their children Kairo and Kinara’s lives. She revealed: “Obviously [what] I think people don’t realize is they did have a relationship with his side of the family, the grandparents. They had really nice family days out etc, but obviously that stopped in December.”

She concluded with concern over the limited time available to mend the relationship between Kyle’s parents and their grandchildren.

In a revealing episode, Lauryn’s co-host shared that her son does not have any relationship with his paternal grandparents or father. Lisa expressed regret, saying: “I’m sitting here and it’s too late,” This led to a misunderstanding as Lauryn responded, believing Lisa referred to her own situation: “My heart just went – I thought you meant my situation.”

To comfort Lauryn, Lisa assured her, “you’ve got years [to mend the kids’ relationship with their grandparents]”, only for Lauryn to admit: “I haven’t got years!” The conversation turned when Lauryn addressed recent tension with the wife of her kids’ father, following reports Annie had sent a text to fellow WAG Rebekah Vardy, wishing Lauryn dead.

Meanwhile, Manchester City skipper Kyle reportedly hopes to regain the trust of his estranged spouse Annie Kilner. Annie disclosed their separation earlier this year but has remained a central figure in raising their four children, including the youngest born right before the Euro 2024 tournament kicked off.

Although formerly acquainted with the fact that Kyle fathered Kairo, born April 2020, Annie was blindsided by the news of Kinara, who was born last August. Annie and Kyle originally connected in their native Sheffield when she was 15 and he 17, but their Christmas break up resulted from the revelations of Kyle’s infidelity.

The pregnant WAG has confirmed her separation from Kyle on Instagram Stories on January 10, addressing her followers: “I am posting this in response to growing recent media enquiries about my marriage to Kyle and in an effort to protect my family against the intensity of the media spotlight.”

She continued: “Sadly, after many years of marriage and three wonderful children together; I have decided to take some time away from Kyle. I do not wish to comment on the position any further. For now, I ask that the privacy of myself and our three young children is respected during this difficult time.”

In a subsequent post two days after his wife’s statement, Kyle shared on his Instagram: “Annie is an amazing woman and I can only apologise for the upset I’ve caused her. She’s been part of my life for so long and that will never change for the sake of our children. I would ask for privacy for all of our family, and especially our young children, whilst we work through these difficult times.”

The situation has become more complicated as it was revealed that Kyle had fathered a second child with Lauryn. Since then, there has been a public spat involving the two women and the footballer across social media and press outlets.

Kyle is reportedly no longer in contact with Lauryn’s son and daughter but does provide financial support.
