WHEELING, W.Va. – The WVSSAC High School golf state championship wrapped up in Wheeling Wednesday, and while there was no local individual state champion, Shady Spring came out on top to win the Class AA title as a team.

After two days, the Tigers shot a +59 combined, 17 strokes ahead of second place. All four Tigers finished earned all-state honors, with Tyler Beard leading the pack at +15 (2nd place finish), followed by Cooper Ward at +20 (3rd place), Jack Williams at +25 (5th place), and Grant Winkler +28 (T-7th place).

Rocky Frye from Montcalm (+20) would finish third place individually in Class A, while Isaac Hutchinson from Greenbrier East (+14) finished tied for third individually in Class AAA.
