Four Rikers Island inmates were indicted Wednesday for a vicious breatdown of another prisoner over a “petty gang-related beef,” Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark announced Wednesday.

Jamaud Cayenne, 21, Davin Mingo, 21, Damien Linares, 19, and Tony Smith, 20 — all alleged Bloods gang members — are facing charges related to a brutal March 17 attack at the Robert N. Davoren complex after another inmate tried to get into the locked dayroom where the four inmates were, Clark said.

According to the indictment, all four of the assailants punched and kicked the victim; Cayenne was accused of also slashing him in the face with a sharp object. A correction officer broke up the beatdown by deploying a chemical agent, Clark said.

The victim needed 45 stitches to the right side of his face that has left a scar, the DA said in a statement.

“The four defendants allegedly beat and slashed the victim over a petty gang-related beef,” Clark said, adding: “We will not tolerate gang violence in the jail.”

All four were hit with multiple counts of assault, while Cayenne and Mingo were charged with promoting prison contraband and criminal possession of a weapon.

Mingo and Smith were arraigned Wednesday in Bronx Supreme Court, where a next court date was set for Dec. 12. Cayenne and Linares were set to be arraigned at a later date.
