Cerruti 1881 is an Italian luxury fashion and beauty brand with a storied history that goes back to (you guessed it) 1881. This is its flagship fragrance for women, which is a surefire crowd-pleaser thanks to its fresh but floral smell.

With top notes of freesia and mimosa and a heart of jasmine and orange blossom, this floral fragrance is given body thanks to woody base notes of sandalwood and cedar. And this Amazon pick is a bargain – Boots has an offer on the same product, but it’s only discounted down to £38.66 right now.
The eau de toilette has over 14,100 global ratings on Amazon, clocking in an impressive average of 4.7 stars. “I’ve used this perfume before and I really love it. It’s light but has great staying power,” one shopper enthused. Another simply labelled it a “timeless classic”.

However, perfume can be quite a personal thing – and some shoppers had some more critical notes to share. One customer noted the “smell does not last as years ago”, wondering: “Not sure if they have changed something.” Another warned: “I had trouble getting the top off the perfume bottle but eventually it came off.”
