Britain’s Got Talent star Jonathan Antoine is barely recognisable, more than a decade after he amazed the judges with his breathtaking performance.

At only 17, Jonathan and his singing partner Charlotte Jaconelli captivated audiences on the 2012 show, ultimately securing second place behind dog dog trick act Ashleigh and Pudsey.

Post-BGT, the duo landed a whopping £1m record deal with Simon Cowell’s Syco label, but their journey ended two years later, reports the Mirror.

Regrettably, Jonathan and Charlotte have drifted apart, although he once hinted at a reunion in another ’20 years’ time.

Along with various career changes and personal challenges, Jonathan’s physical transformation is most notable.

He has lost a considerable amount of weight due to changes in his lifestyle and diet.

Although he acknowledges a previous lack of discipline, he now states: “I’ve still got a lot to lose but I’m making my way. I feel stronger and healthier than I have in 10 years, which is a lot. This year I’ve made an active choice. I’ve felt I’ve lacked the discipline a lot. When I was out in America its fast food everywhere. I was in a terrible state in the start of the year and I’ve been able to claw my way back doing light exercise.”

Jonathan, who has been steering clear of intense workouts because of his size, shared: “I’m a very big fella so heavy exercise would just tear me up. I’m working my way up, thinking about what I eat because that is important.”

He’s dedicated to hitting an impressive 10,000 steps each day, even if it means walking in his room, and he’s feeling more vibrant than ever.

He added: “For a long time I was just experiencing life, letting life live me, trying to find the next pleasure. Taking control of your own life, grabbing the world with your hands, feels amazing.”

After gaining fame from BGT, Jonathan skyrocketed to the top of the Classical Artist Album chart with his debut solo album, Tenore.

He has also collaborated with prominent artists such as Mexico’s operatic tenor Rolando Villazón and Leone Magiera, the Italian pianist renowned for his work with Pavarotti.
