Kirkcudbright Junior Choir were joined by pupils from Kirkcudbright Academy at a fantastic concert in support of the RNLI boathouse appeal.

The programme featured performances by the choir, as well as solo performances by Evie, Isis, Inigo, Iona, and Katie, and duets from Katie and Tayler, Cally and Hannah, and Inigo and Iona. Each performance was fantastic.

An incredible £735.19 was raised and a huge thank you goes to Kate Picken and Hannah Gill for organising this event along with compere for the day Jack Finlay, one of the crew members.

Thanks also to Micah Boland on drums, Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities for the use of the sound system and chairs, Bruce and Fraser, pupils at Kirkcudbright Academy for managing the tech and Rob Asbridge for his help with the staging area.

Hannah and Kate started Kirkcudbright Junior Choir in February 2022, and currently members come from Kirkcudbright Primary, Twynholm Primary, Gatehouse Primary and Gelston Primary. They rehearse at The Johnston in Kirkcudbright on Thursday afternoons from 3.45pm to 4.30pm.

New members are always welcome.

Kirkcudbright RNLI is delighted that the youngsters were so keen to take part and maybe some of them will be crew members in the future.

The crew of Kirkcudbright Lifeboat Station continue to be amazed at the level of support for this appeal.
