AUSTIN, Texas — With the U.S. Grand Prix Formula One Race coming up this weekend, Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is encouraging ticketholders to book shuttles to the event if they don’t already have parking passes.
The shuttle buses will pick attendees up from two spots in Austin and drop them off at dedicated areas at COTA reserved for buses. There are three options available.
Pickup locations include Downtown Austin at Waterloo Park and the Travis County Expo Center. Here’s a breakdown of the details and cost for each pickup location:
Downtown: Waterloo Park
- Round-trip price: $48 a day
COTA said this shuttle will drop off and pick up at the Grand Plaza Gates with red buses and signage. Attendees can find paid parking at the garages between Trinity Street and San Jacinto Boulevard.
The city of Austin said it will have road closures in the area for people parking and taking the Waterloo shuttle. Austinites are asked to be mindful of increased activity in and around Waterloo Park.
Northeast Austin: Travis County Expo Center
- Round-trip price: $36 a day
Located near the intersections of U.S. 290/U.S. 183 and the 130 Tollway, the Travis County Expo Center shuttle hub is a free parking lot. Attendees are asked to enter and exit this facility at “Gate 1” located off Decker Lane.
COTA said shuttles from the expo center also drop off and pick up at the Grand Plaza Gates. The buses and signage will be blue.

For rideshare
COTA Boulevard will be restricted to permitted vehicles and buses only. All rideshare services will operate out of the McAngus Road parking lot. A complimentary tram will be available to transport guests from McAngus to the Grand Plaza, or guests can walk approximately 15 minutes to the gates.
You can find shuttle tickets online here. The U.S. Grand Prix is from Oct. 18-20, 2024.
