A fitness coach who claims to have ‘shed 20lbs this year’ has revealed the high-protein food she purchased from Aldi that aided her weight loss journey.

Hawys D, a self-proclaimed ‘muscle growth coach’, shares diet and weight loss advice on Instagram under her @coaching_in_hd account. Her 44,100 followers were captivated by one of her recent reels where she disclosed what she had been purchasing from Aldi to assist her in slimming down.

The video started with Hawys outside the supermarket, with overlay text stating: “Aldi protein bangers I buy to drop 20lbs this year.”

She added: “I lost 20lbs this year eating high-protein, high-nutrient and in a calorie deficit.”

The fitness coach’s first Aldi suggestion was dark chocolate – specifically a Moser Roth 70% cocoa bar, Surrey Live reports. She informed followers: “It’s actually full of antioxidants and great for snipping your sweet cravings.”

Next, she added some chipotle chilli wraps to her shopping cart, noting they contained less than 100 calories, stating: “They’re great for packing with salad and protein”.

Third on her list was The Fingermonger’s Tuna tins, as she selected the ‘Soy and Ginger’ flavour, as well as the ‘Chilli and Garlic’ and ‘Lemon and Thyme’ flavours. She told viewers: “They are the perfect single serve and come in here spice little flavours”.

They’re also only 99p so good for the wallet too. Following this, Hawys told fans: “You know I love a pre-made salad. These Tandoori Chicken Buddha Bowls are a little over 300 calories and have a decent whack of protein.”

During her recent supermarket sweep, fitness guru Hawys was seen eyeing the meat section, opting for turkey mince because it holds “slightly more nutrients than chicken”. She couldn’t resist a bargain on the poultry front either, snagging chicken mince at a tempting 30 percent discount, admitting she “couldn’t say no”.

Her haul included lean pork sausages, too—a healthier option at only 71 calories each, which can make a “nice change for your weekend fry-up”. In the land of fruit and veg, “wonky strawberries” caught her eye, praised for their taste and low calorie count of “only 100 calories per punnet”.

Sweet potatoes also found their way into her trolley to whip up some air fryer fries—an “excellent source of fibre and Vitamin A”. She then added a packet of Turkish grains for an extra protein and fibre boost but refrained from sugar-free jelly, denouncing it as ineffective for satiety.

Likewise, she turned away from the protein pizza aisle, pointing out that homemade versions could yield fewer calories with more protein. Wrapping up her shop with a beaming smile and her trove of top picks, Hawys garnered praise for her insights.

One fan declared: “This is actually super helpful to put into perspective when you have little meal prep time, especially the flavoured tuna! Tysm for this!” Another chimed in, commending the variety of flavoured tuna tins available.

One admirer commented: “Great post,” while another eagerly asked: “Tell me more about the protein pizza!”

This follows Hawys’ earlier revelation to her followers about the nutritious Tesco lunch that’s been aiding her weight loss journey.
