Coronation Street viewers believe they’ve figured out what’s wrong with Dee-Dee Bailey – and it’s not pregnancy.

The character, played by Channique Sterling-Brown, first appeared on the cobbles in 2022 and has since become a hit with fans.

However, legal worker Dee-Dee’s life has taken a dramatic turn of late. She discovered the horrifying truth about her fiancé Joel Deering (Calum Lill), who was revealed to be a predator grooming and abusing young girls, including Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).

Joel’s vile actions were exposed, leaving Weatherfield residents, including Dee-Dee, shocked and disgusted. Joel was arrested but later released on bail.

He then disappeared, leading police to believe he had taken his own life. During Monday’s episode (October 14) of the ITV soap, it was confirmed that Joel was dead with his body found in a nearby river.

Initially thought to be suicide, a post-mortem revealed it was murder, with Joel having been struck on the head with a heavy object before being dumped.

A further post read: “She hasn’t slept with anyone yet because of her religion. She killed him.”
