LAS VEGAS (Gray News) – Jake E. Lee, former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne was shot multiple times in what authorities believe was a random attack, according to several reports.

Lee was reportedly walking his dog early Tuesday morning in Las Vegas when the shooting occurred, according to a press release by his publicist.

The press release was shared on the social media platform X by American music journalist Mitch Lafon.

Las Vegas Metro Police Department confirmed their officers responded to a reported shooting at about 2 a.m. Tuesday. When they arrived, they found one victim and he was transported to the hospital.

“Lee is fully conscious and doing well in an intensive care unit at a Las Vegas hospital,” the press release said.

He is expected to make a full recovery.

“Lee and his family appreciate respecting their privacy at this time,” the press release said.

Police reported the investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.

Lee was the lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne following the death of Randy Rhaos in 1982, according to a report from Forbes. He is credited for performing in the hit albums “Bark at the Moon” and “The Ultimate Sin.”

Lee has also performed with Badlands and Red Dragon Cartel.
