A jazz duo are set to get feet tapping in Twynholm Village Hall
Edinburgh-based Ian Millar and Dominic Spencer will perform at the venue on November 1.
Saxophone player Ian and Dominic on piano have been earning rave reviews touring the UK with their Jazz in the Village concerts.
Ian said: “We play accessible, melodic jazz and tell amusing stories about some our touring experiences from the places we have played and visited.
“We usually set the hall out in a cabaret style with low lighting and tea light candles on the tables to create an intimate concert setting.
“Our concerts are usually well attended and we have had some wonderful and memorable jazz evenings throughout the UK over the years.”
He added: “We don’t have funding so we rely on good will and volunteers at the village hall to make these concerts possible.”
The night gets under way at 8pm and cash-only tickets priced £12 are available from Clann at St Mary Street and Thomson’s Post Office at St Cuthbert Street in Kirkcudbright, Galloway’s Garage in Twynholm and Studio 2 Hairdressers, Academy St, Castle Douglas.
Accompanied under 16s are free entry.
The event will feature a raffle with nibbles and BYOB.
