Dates for next year’s International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight on Ayr shorefront have been confirmed.
The event will take to the skies on Friday, September 5 and Saturday, September 6, 2025.
This will be the third time South Ayrshire Council has organised the hugely popular festival, that packed in record crowds in 2023 and again last month.
The festival will be held at Ayr’s Low Green and will feature flying display programmes on the Friday night and Saturday afternoon. The event’s Festival Village will also return, jam-packed with a range of family entertainment to suit all interests.
The council’s Portfolio Holder for Tourism, Culture and Rural Affairs, Councillor Alec Clark, said: “Following another hugely successful festival this year, it’s wonderful to be able to confirm the dates for the 2025 airshow.
“Once again, September’s event attracted in excess of 250,000 people over both days of the festival, and we’re delighted to have received extremely positive feedback about the improvements we made on the previous year and the event as a whole. So, my message is, get ready for the next one and save the date!”
South Ayrshire Council’s Portfolio Holder for Sport and Leisure, Councillor Brian Connolly, said: “In September we witnessed another outstanding airshow, so I’m happy that we’ve confirmed the 2025 dates already.
“A vast amount of planning and organisation goes into each Festival of Flight, with tremendous effort on the part of our officers and partners to ensure we can deliver a top-class event. And with preparations already underway, I’m sure we’re all in for another spectacular show next September.
Leader of South Ayrshire Council, Councillor Martin Dowey, added: “Our 2024 International Ayr Show – Festival of Flight drew in enormous crowds for the second year running.
“The weather was thankfully in our favour again and people were able to enjoy spectacular aerial displays, great entertainment and activities, plus a good food and beverage offering all in the glorious South Ayrshire sunshine.
“The success of this September’s festival has spurred us on to deliver yet another exceptional event in 2025.”
