A special Ball in a Hall event taking place in Airdrie next month will raise funds for seven charities.

The festivities will be held in St Margaret’s Church hall, on Hallcraig Street, on November 22 at 7pm, for 7.15pm, until midnight.

The charities that will benefit from the event are Chest, Heart and Stroke, the Beatson, St Andrew’s Hospice, the Moira Anderson Foundation, Fragile X Syndrome, Cystic Fibrosis and Chris’s House.

Live music will be provided by Eriskay Lilt and a delicious dinner will be served at 7.30pm.

Audrey Paterson, an organiser of the Ball in a Hall, said: “Everyone on hand nominates their chosen charity from the list and 50 per cent of the proceeds from the event will go to that charity.

“The other six charities will then receive a proportionate share.

“Guests can bring raffle prize they have received that they don’t like to help us all raise funds together.”

Tickets are priced £30, which includes a raffle ticket, and can be bought now by calling Audrey on 07973 450105 or via her Facebook page.
