Pasta lovers who are concerned about their health can rejoice, as a weight loss specialist has revealed his spicy chicken pasta recipe that’s not only high in protein but also waistline-friendly.

In recognition of National Pasta Day today (October 17), this dish is perfect for those aiming to either build muscle or shed pounds.

The sought-after recipe was shared on TikTok by the renowned @aussiefitness account, which enjoys an impressive following of over 4.1 million. The video teaser begins with a tantalising glimpse of the finished creamy spicy pasta before the fitness guru demonstrates how to make it.

He said in the clip: “If you’re looking for a quick and easy high-protein meal prep, this creamy spicy chicken pasta takes 30 minutes to make with a few simple ingredients and has 58 grams of protein per meal.”

The expert goes on to guide viewers through the preparation, saying: “Grab diced chicken breast, add the seasonings listed on the screen and the caption with a bit of olive oil, mix and set it aside.” The health guru, who has personally shed 132lbs, continues by sautéing some onion until golden before adding the seasoned chicken.

As the meat cooks, he suggests starting on the pasta. Approaching the final steps, he adds garlic, tomato purée, and chicken stock to light cream cheese in the pan, combining them into a luxuriously creamy sauce.

You’ll want to add the cooked, drained pasta into the pan, along with a splash of the pasta water. Give it all a good mix with some dried parsley, then let it simmer gently for five minutes.

For the grand finale, sprinkle over some parmesan and an extra dash of parsley, before splitting the dish into four even portions. Not only is this tasty treat packed with 58 grams of protein, but it’s also just 496 calories per serving.

Meanwhile, a curious follower posed the question: “I have a question – I don’t really like cottage cheese so does the taste stand out or go away.” The savvy creator reassured them, stating: “You won’t be able to taste it in the recipes I make! All the other flavours take over.”
