Liam Payne addressed recent rumours about himself just days before his tragic death. The former One Direction star was holidaying in Buenos Aires with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy when he tragically fell from the third floor of a hotel.

Liam was known for being one fifth of the mega-band found fame in 2011 after appearing on The X Factor, when judge Simon Cowell placed him in a band with Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan. Reports have suggested that Liam fell from the third floor of a hotel building in the Argentinian capital.

Police, firefighters and ambulances were seen outside of a hotel building after Liam tragically fell. Police are said to have been called to reports of a man acting aggressively at the hotel who could be under the effect of drink or drugs.

A body was found in an internal patio of the hotel. The police were called to the hotel by the hotel manager, reports the Mirror.

It’s believed that Liam fell from around 13 or 14 metres and suffered “very serious injuries incompatible with life.”

The local ambulance chief, speaking to TN, disclosed: “At 17.04 through the 911 integrated public safety system, we were alerted of a person who was in an internal courtyard of the management of a south house hotel. At 17.11 a SAME team arrived and verified the death of this man and later we found out that he was a singer in a musical group.

“Unfortunately, he had injuries that were incompatible with life, as a result of his fall, so we had to confirm his death, there was no possibility of resuscitation.”

Liam Payne, the musician taking a break in Argentina, had been entertaining followers on TikTok and Snapchat with clips from his journey, alongside girlfriend Kate Cassidy. Recent times have seen him embroiled in rumours regarding his connections with a close confidant.

Recently travelling around the world, Payne, 31, has been dropping hints of working on fresh tracks for his admirers. Despite his previous single ‘Teardrops’ not making the charts, anticipation surrounds its inclusion on his forthcoming album, which he’s enigmatically mentioned but without a set release date.

Amidst preparing new material, the former boyband star has been caught in a whirlwind of social media gossip about his personal associations.

Over the summer months, Liam was spotted hand-in-hand with Argentine man Roger Nores—a close friend—as they and their mates exited a pub. This scene quickly sent fans to social media with speculations about their relationship.

Notably, Roger had also accompanied Liam in recording sessions, sparking further rumours due to their significant time together. However, dispelling the speculative reports in local press about their bond being anything more than friendship, Liam clarified: “There was a lot of things in magazines saying me and Roger are gay together – not true, unfortunately.”

The artist behind ‘Polaroid’ further commented, “Although, if I was, I might go for him, who knows.”

He then concluded: “But I’m not, so I won’t and he’s not – so I know he won’t, either. That clears that up! ” While he put an end to the swirling gossip, Liam has set tongues wagging anew by disclosing his plans to attend Niall Horan’s gig in Argentina, coming on the heels of their ex-One Direction bandmate Harry Styles showing support at Niall’s performance at Manchester’s Co-op Live venue.

“We’re going to Argentina to see Nialler,” Liam informed his fans, revealing their plans for a heartfelt reunion. Expanding on the reasons for the trip, he explained: “We’re going to Argentina. One, because we have to, and two, because we want to, and three, because Niall Horan’s playing down there and I think we might just go and say ‘Hello’.

“It’s been a while since me and Niall have spoken. We’ve got a lot to talk about and I would like to square up a couple things with the boy. No bad vibes or nothing like that, but just, we need to talk.”

The news has sent waves of delight across social platforms, as fans eagerly voiced their excitement over the impending reunion.

Comments like “Liam is going to see Niall in Argentina, first Narry and now Niam on tour, always warms my heart when the boys support each other,” and “Liam will be at Niall’s show tomorrow!! Niam reunion!!” illustrate the ecstatic fan reactions.

Liam and Niall, once bandmates in One Direction, are renowned for their strong bond, often bursting into laughter together due to their shared sense of humour during the height of their group’s fame.
