In the days before Liam Payne’s sudden death, his girlfriend Kate Cassidy posted one of his final photos, accompanied by a heartfelt message.
Kate posted a TikTok, whilst the couple were out horseback riding in the countryside. The former One Direction star is dressed casually and seen to be enjoying the time with his girlfriend, while the caption reads: “I am very grateful for the simple things in life.”
The world was stunned by the sudden passing of Liam when the news broke that he had fallen from the third floor of a luxury hotel.
The tragic incident occurred at Hotel CasaSur in Buenos Aires’s Palermo district.
Just hours before his passing, Liam interacted with fans on social media, sharing photos of his meals and expressing excitement about playing polo. The singer posted multiple videos on snapchat, capturing his time with Kate as they had breakfast.
In one of the videos, Liam commented on their relaxed start, saying, “This is the breakfast table, just enjoying breakfast and coffee even though it’s 1pm.” In the background, Kate playfully teased them, calling them “losers” for starting their day so late.
Liam and Kate had been together since October 2022, making their red carpet debut two months later. They seemed to be thriving as a couple, with Kate attending the premiere of All of Those Voices, the documentary featuring Louis Tomlinson, Liam’s former One Direction bandmate.
Kate shared on social media after the event, remarking, “What a crazy eye-opening experience!” She also complimented Louis, saying, “@Louist91 well done on such a beautiful film that everyone will love.”
This new romance developed after Liam’s final breakup with model Maya Henry in May 2022, following several breakups and reconciliations. The pop star appeared to find comfort again with Kate.
Reports suggest that before the tragic incident, Liam experienced an episode where he smashed his laptop in an erratic outburst. Hotel staff had to intervene and escort him back to his suite.
Kate left her boyfriend in Argentina just three days before his death as more shocking details about the circumstances of his tragic passing come to light.
Insiders close to the situation said that the couple had arrived in Argentina on the September 30, sharing their travels on social media.
However, it was reported that Kate left Argentina on October 14, while Liam stayed behind at the Casa Sur Palermo Hotel.
Kate shared her journey back to the States with her Snapchat followers, highlighting her stylish outfits and the meals she enjoyed during the long flight.
