Luke Littler has reportedly signed a TV deal to appear alongside Freddie Flintoff in the reboot of popular 80s show .
The teenager became an overnight sporting sensation when he reached the finals of the World Darts Championship aged 16 last January.
Now 17, Littler has continued his remarkable run in the sport, surging up the rankings and avenging his loss to Luke Humphries to claim the Premier League title in May.
Having already reeled in sponsorship deals with BoohooMAN and Target, Littler is now set to make the step into TV, with The Sun reporting that ITV have signed him up as a guest player for their reeboot of Bullseye.
The show will be fronted by former Top Gear host and ex-England cricketer Flintoff, with Littler set to appear on the Christmas special to throw for charity.
Speaking to The Sun, a TV insider said: ‘It’s also a coup for the makers of the new Bullseye as Luke is now one of Britain’s best-known players.
‘Producers moved swiftly to sign him shortly after the programme was recommissioned by ITV.’
Bullseye first hit screens in 1981 and ran for 14 years. The dartboard quiz game tested contestants’ darts skills as well as their general knowledge.
Three pairs of contestants, consisting of an amateur darts player and quizzer competed for cash and prizes.
Littler’s meteoric rise and the subsequent increase in dart’s popularity has been credited as a key reason behind the show’s return.
Flintoff, meanwhile, last appeared on TV in a BBC documentary called Freddie Flintoff’s Field Of Dreams On Tour in August, where he first spoke about a crash while filming Top Gear.
The crash, which left the former England cricketer with facial and rib injuries, happened at the motoring show’s test track at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, in December 2022.
