T.I.’s teen son, King Harris, was arrested this week after nearly hitting a cop cruiser in Georgia, though the arrest was due to a two-year-old speeding charge.

The 19-year-old, whose parents are Grammy winners Clifford “T.I.” Harris and Tameka “Tiny” Cottle-Harris, was initially pulled over for the near-collision that occurred Monday while leaving a gas station in DeKalb County’s Dunwoody, according to reports obtained by TMZ.

The officer allegedly caught whiffs of marijuana coming from the BMW Harris was driving and then found a gun on the teen’s hip, after which Harris was asked to put his hands on the steering wheel, per TMZ. Two small bags of weed were allegedly found during a search of the vehicle.

Upon looking up Harris’ name, the cop who pulled him over learned Pickens County had issued a warrant when Harris failed to appear in court in relation to an August 2022 speeding charge. Harris was detained and his weapon was removed without incident.

In addition to speeding, Harris was charged in the summer 2022 for knowingly driving a motor vehicle on a suspended license and driving under the influence of drugs, Fox 5 Atlanta reports. A bench warrant was issued last month and on Tuesday was released to Pickens County, where a recall was ordered for the warrant. Harris’ current status is reportedly unknown.

The Daily News has reached out to the Georgia Department of Corrections for information.

Though one of King’s two companions was reportedly cited for marijuana possession Monday, they weren’t arrested, according to TMZ.

Harris was taken into custody barely two months after his dad was arrested at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in a case of mistaken identity.

Back in January, an unidentified woman sued T.I. and Tiny for sexual battery and assault relating to an alleged incident n the 2000s. The musicians denied the allegations, dismissing them as “fake” and saying that they would “not be shaken down.”
