The Cedar Park Police Department said school shooting threats were shared online.
CEDAR PARK, Texas — Detectives are investigating a social media threat made against Cedar Park Middle School, located north of Austin.
According to a Twitter, formerly known as X, post from the Cedar Park Police, “school shooting rumors” were recently shared online.
Police said there is no known threat at this time, but they will continue to respond in a serious manner.
The department also said threats are considered severe crimes whether they are real or turn out to be non-credible.
