Rotary Club of Princeton celebrates 100 years of service to the community

PRINCETON, W.Va. – A special celebration was held to recognize the 100th anniversary of the Rotary Club of Princeton.

As a marker for their milestone, a centennial clock was placed at the interstation of Mercer Street and Center Street.

The clock was a collaborative effort of the City of Princeton and the Rotary Club.

President Nathan Hendrick says the member organization focuses on giving back to the community through various projects and fundraisers throughout the community.

“Rotary makes up a lot of members in our community,” said Hedrick “We have a lot of members in the Rotary Club, and they all came together to make this happen. We worked closely with the City of Princeton to make it happen about making the city of Princeton a more beautiful place, something that folks can see, take pictures with the clock, but also give a nice focal point here on Mercer Street.”

The clock was installed with the help of the City of Princeton’s public works department.
