Two men have been arrested after a car crashed into a house in the early hours of this morning.

The incident happened around 3.35am on Crossloan Road in Glasgow’s Govan area.

Emergency services including police, fire and ambulance crews were called to the scene and the occupants of the house were evacuated.

Glasgow Live reports that Images and footage from the scene show significant damage to the house with a cordon in place around the area.

The two male occupants of the car allegedly fled the scene shortly after the crash.

The men, both aged 41, were traced by emergency services nearby and taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital as a precaution.

Police confirmed the men have been arrested in connection with the incident and were released pending further enquiry.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.35am on Sunday, 20 October, 2024, we were called to a report of a car crashing into a house in Crossloan Road, Govan.

“The two male occupants of the car left the scene. Emergency services attended and the men, both aged 41, were traced nearby.

“They were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, as a precaution. The property has been evacuated as a precaution.

“The men have been arrested in connection with the incident and released pending further enquiry.”
