DADE CITY, Fla. (Gray News) – Florida linemen have been working ” tirelessly to restore power to hard-hit areas” after Milton.
“The conditions our linemen are facing are challenging but their dedication is unwavering,” Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative, Inc. said in a Facebook post.
In the post, linemen were seen working in chest-deep water and diving underwater to locate the end of a wire.
The area is notorious for alligators and snakes, which added to the “perilous conditions.”
We deeply appreciate their sacrifices and commitment to ensuring everyone has electricity again,” Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative, Inc. said in a post.
