Strictly Come Dancing viewers expressed their dismay during the recent results show.

Presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman graced television screens again on Sunday (October 20) evening to announce which couple would regrettably depart the BBC contest after merely five weeks.

Before the hosts announced which couples were safe, viewers voiced their grievances due to a considerable change in the show’s format. Venting on X, formerly known as Twitter, one spectator wrote: “No opening number. Straight into the results and recap. Sorry, I just don’t like the new format AT ALL #Strictly.”

Another chimed in: “Another week of not starting with the group number can they please go back to the old format it’s just odd #strictly.”

A third commenter proclaimed: “#Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing PLEASE CHANGE THE FORMAT CHALLENGE! ! ! ! ! “, reports the Mirror.

Welsh celebrity Wynne Evans and his dance partner Katya Jones resumed their performances on Saturday night after facing backlash for an “inside joke”. A video circulated online showing Wynne gesturing across Katya’s waist before she swiftly moved his hand away.

Despite this, she later clarified that she was not bothered by the incident, asserting it was a private jest that didnt translate well publicly. At the time, Wynne acknowledged he was devastated by the controversy.

Earlier this week, he expressed his dismay: “I’m absolutely heartbroken by the things that have been written about me in the last day. It’s not nice to live in that time, but basically Katya and I are really, really close and we’re really good friends, and on Saturday night we made a stupid joke. It was a stupid joke that went wrong, OK? We thought it was funny. It wasn’t funny. It has been totally misinterpreted.”

On the latest show, Jamie and Michelle dazzled, tying for first place with Montell and Johannes with their exquisite Paso Doble and Couple’s Choice performances, both scoring 39 out of 40 points. Not far behind was Chris and Dianne with a well-executed Waltz earning them third place with 35 points, while Alijaz and Tasha’s Tango clinched fourth.

Wynne and Katya impressed with their Quickstep, landing in fifth. At the bottom end of the leaderboard, Paul and Karen struggled with their Samba, garnering just 19 out of 40 points. Punam and Gorka’s Viennese Waltz placed them second from last with 21 points.

Pete and Jowita’s Rumba – especially marked down by Craig – left them third from the bottom, and Sam and Nikita were close by for their Quickstep.
