The poisonings happened at the same time and location, according to Kyle police.

KYLE, Texas — A 19-year-old is dead after police in Kyle responded to several fentanyl poisonings over the weekend.

According to Kyle police, officers were called to three fentanyl poisonings at the same time and location on Saturday, Oct. 19.

Two victims, an 18- and 19-year-old, survived the fentanyl poisonings. Police have not identified the 19-year-old who died.

Police say the case remains under investigation at this time. They urge parents to reiterate the importance of fentanyl awareness and education.

“While our public safety measures and fentanyl awareness campaigns have effectively reduced fentanyl-related incidents in our area, we must remain vigilant in our efforts to eliminate this threat from our community,” the police department said in a statement.
