Nikita Kuzmin’s stunned response to the latest Strictly Come Dancing elimination round has caused fans to laugh out loud.

When host Tess Daly called out JLS singer JB Gill and his dance partner Amy Dowden as the first pair for the dance-off, Nikita was visibly astonished, with cameras capturing his wide-eyed and open-mouthed expression, while Sam Quek seemed equally taken aback.

Devotees of the show swiftly voiced their concurrences with Nikita on social networks, with one fan posting a snapshot of the astonished dancer and commenting: “Me too, Nikita, me too.”

Another viewer expressed: “Nikita’s reaction was so me, what do you mean Amy and JB are in the dance-off?!” while a third shared the sentiment: “Same Nikita, same.”

Another remarked, “Nikita is all of us,” and someone also desired: “I need a screenshot of Nikita’s shocked face,” reports the Mirror.

Another enthusiast weighed in: “Nikita’s face at JB in the dance-off says it all!”

Following their face-off with Paul Merson and Karen Hauer, the panel spared JB and Amy. However, JB’s plunge into the bottom two sparked discussions among strict aficionados who suspect a new “curse” linked to the performance sequence.

Fans have been drawing parallels between JB and Shayne Ward for their solid ballroom performances, yet after both took early slots in recent shows, they ended up facing the dance-off.

A dismayed viewer posted online: “Again the curse of going first and being middle of the leaderboard. Remember to save your favourites – they’re not always safe! ” while another lamented: “first to dance on the live show curse has struck AGAIN.”

Upon his departure from Strictly, Paul shared his thoughts with Tess, expressing: “It’s been really good. For anybody I talk to, I would say you’ve got to go on this show. It’s amazing – everybody,” before humorously mentioning: “There’s a Tottenham fan over there called Lincoln and even he’s nice!”

Continuing to reflect on his journey, Paul praised his dance partner Karen: “It’s been amazing, honestly, amazing. I loved every minute of it, I’ve had a great teacher. She’s been amazing, absolutely amazing and I couldn’t wish for a better coach. I’ve loved every minute of it. I can dance now – I’ve won because I can dance, I couldn’t dance before and I can half dance now. It’s a bonus, absolute bonus.”

Karen also commended Paul, highlighting the essence of what Strictly is about through his significant progress: “Absolutely, you’ve been a joy. I’ve never giggled this much. My abs are really tight now. I am so proud of you. Every week you have showed up, you have improved.”

“You’re what Strictly is about and I want to thank you for bringing such joy and just showing everyone that it is possible with a little bit of work and lots of giggles.”

The popular show, Strictly, will be back next week with a Halloween special. The remaining 11 celebrities are set to hit the dance floor in their spookiest attire, performing routines themed around Halloween.

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday on BBC One.
