Marley Watkins reckons back-to-back wins shows Killie are finally firing on all cylinders.
And the striker reckons the club will keep picking up the points after his 87th minute winner against Rangers saw the Rugby Park side jump into seventh place in the SPFL Premiership table.
The 34-year-old confessed the busy schedule thanks to European football earlier in the campaign had taken its toll on their league form – although he insists they did little to help themselves out.
Now, though, he believes they’re showing their true colours after notching late winners against both Dundee and the Gers in their last two league games.
They make the lengthy trip north to Dingwall hoping to make it three wins on the bounce when they take on Ross County – and they know a win could propel them back into the top six despite having had to wait until the seventh game of the season to pick up their first win.
He said: “It was a weird, slow start with the red cards and some of the results. Kicking on is important. We set the standards high last season and we’ve got to make sure we reach those again.
“We’ve had a bit of a reset. I think a lot of our poor start was our own doing with sending-offs.
“I don’t think it was as bad at it seemed, but it’s good to get the two wins in a row now. We’ll look to build on it in the next game, and keep it going.”
As for the victory over Rangers, the striker admits there was confidence before the game and a belief they could pick up the points.
He added: “It gives us confidence but I felt we always knew we could beat anyone here. It’s always good to go out there and actually do it, though.
“It was a great win. I should’ve taken my first half chance but I’m just buzzing I managed to get the winning goal. I thought we deserved it as we had the better chances against a quality team.
“At home we always feel that we have a chance. Even if we miss one, we know we’ll get another.
“It was a great ball in by Davie (Watson) and another great impact off the bench from our subs. When we’re at it, at our best, then we’ll give anyone a game. You saw it here against Copenhagen.”
