A Scots street has been locked down by police as officers probe what locals say is a “serious incident”. A cordon has been erected in Glasgow’s Shettleston area following the unspecified incident.

A picture from the scene shows an ambulance stationed close to the cordon, with three police vans parked beside the ambulance, which still has it’s blue lights flashing.

At least eight marked police vehicles and ambulance crews are said to have been in the area’s Budhill Avenue at around 9pm today, Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

A nearby resident has claimed it is a “serious incident” and police have put properties into lockdown – meaning no one was “allowed in or out”.

Speaking to Glasgow Live, the concerned neighbour also said: “No cars were allowed in or out of the area. Police were searching around the street with flash lights.”

In images shared with Glasgow Live, police tape can be seen across the entrance of a building on Budhill Avenue as police and ambulance crew standby. Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
