A drug dealer has been jailed after police officers found a cocaine stash worth £100,000. Sean Myles was caged at the High Court in Edinburgh on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old was detained by officers in Kemnay Gardens, Dundee, on Friday, March 17, 2023, as part of an intelligence-led operation.

Cocaine with a street value of £100,000 was recovered during searches and Myles admitted his guilt at the High Court in Edinburgh on Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

Today, Tuesday, October 22, 2024, he appeared at the High Court in Glasgow to be sentenced, where a judge locked him up for 46 months in prison.

Speaking after his sentencing, Detective Inspector Julia Ogilvie said: “This conviction and sentencing highlights our ongoing commitment to disrupting the illegal and harmful supply of illegal drugs in our communities.

“I hope it sends a message to those involved in serious and organised crime that you will be caught and you will face the consequences.

“There is no place for this type of criminality in our communities. Such operations underline our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.”

The DI, of the Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit North, added: “We will continue to work with partner agencies to tackle this issue and make our communities safer.

“Information from the public is absolutely crucial to our work and we would continue to urge anyone with knowledge or concerns about drugs activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
