A “lovely” Scottish coastal inn is currently available to book at a significantly reduced rate.

The Raniven Guest House is situated in the heart of the resort town of Oban. Located in a “prime location” for exploring, it is just a short walk from Oban’s stunning and bustling harbour.

At the moment, a two-night stay for two at the Raniven Guest House can be booked for £139 on Wowcher — a discount of 40 per cent. You can also upgrade your stay to include a massage and bottle of Prosecco for a total cost of £249, which marks a discount of 42 per cent.

All of the rooms at the guest house include flatscreen televisions, Wi-Fi, and en-suite bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. They also feature hot drink making facilities, while the 25-minute deep tissue massage will ensure you and your other half will “feel fresh as a daisy in no time”.

As well as Oban’s picturesque harbour, there is a wealth of things to see and do around town. Some of the highlights include the Oban Distillery, the Oban Chocolate Company, and the historic Dunollie Castle.

The Raniven Guest House has previously won a Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice Award. It currently has an average rating of 4.5 out of five on the website based on 218 reviews.

One recent visitor posted: “Quiet street with plenty of amenities. Three minutes to the harbour.

“Comfy beds, clean and good water pressure. Stayed with two teenagers who had a twin to themselves and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Instructions were clear and the on site cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful.”

A second Tripadvisor user shared: “Great place to stay in Oban, fairly close to the action in the town, so was an easy walk. Very clean room. Bathroom was extremely small but very new and very clean. Entry and stairs were welcoming and easy to navigate.

“Would recommend for a short stay.”

Meanwhile, a third stated: “The location was perfect and it was a lovely guesthouse. Only downside was room was quite small so there wasn’t much room to move about.

“We would definitely stay again, but would book a bigger room.”

If the Raniven Guest House doesn’t sound to your taste, there are fortunately plenty of other options in Oban for a relaxing night or two away. Some of the most popular include the four-star Oban Bay Hotel and the luxury Perle Oban Hotel and Spa.
