Livingston boss David Martindale admits he would be more worried about facing St Johnstone than Rangers.

Pressure is ramping up on Philippe Clement after defeat to Kilmarnock left the Light Blues six points off the top of the Premiership and well of the pace of Celtic and Aberdeen at the the summit. The result continued to ramp up questions over Cyriel Dessers as he extended his goalless streak to five games – with only untested Hamza Igamane acting as back-up with Danilo sideline through injury.

Rangers now sit as the joint-WORST team in the Premiership for finding the net away from home – sitting level with Ross County with just one goal on the road. With a Europa League showdown against FCSB next on the agenda, Martindale has insisted that Perth Saints front two of Adama Sidibe and Benjamin Mbunga Kimpioka would leave him more worried than facing any of the Gers attackers this term.

Speaking to Si Ferry and Marvin Bartley on Open Goal, the Lions boss said: “Go back to looking at St Johnstone, you are saying about the two strikers. They are a hand full.

“We are looking at St Johnstone and that is what we are saying. Going into a game, we would be worried about that. And going into a game we have been worried about Sidibe and Kimpioka. Going into a Rangers game just now… (shrugs). St Johnstone you are worried about the two strikers.”
