A newborn baby is fighting for its life after a heavily pregnant mum fell 17 storeys to her death from a block of flats.

Ambulance crews said the woman, who was “in the late stage of pregnancy“, fell from the building in Burmantofts, Leeds, on Tuesday. Officers rushed to the scene and cordoned off the area at Shakespeare Towers, in Shakespeare Approach, at around 10.24am.
