A car has flipped on its side after crashing into a barrier outside a Scots primary school.

The incident occurred on Crawford Drive in East Kilbride around 9 a.m. today (October 24). Emergency services rushed to the scene, and police were said to be ‘directing traffic,’ according to Glasgow Live.

Shocking images show a car on its side after appearing to have crashed into a barrier at a pedestrian crossing, which has been destroyed. It is not yet known whether any other vehicles were involved

The extent of injuries, if any, remains unclear. It is understood the vehicle involved has since been uplifted.

Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached for comment
