BOSTON (WBZ) – Pumpkin spice seems to be everywhere this time of year – from coffee to pie, candles and beer. Now, you can add a car wash to the list

ScrubaDub Car Wash has unveiled a way to infuse a pumpkin spice scent into its washing process. The scented UltraShine foam also keeps cars looking shiny and new. Customers can get it for an extra $5.

“We thought how could we elevate the fall fun customer experience of the car wash this year, and we came up with this idea of pumpkin spice,” said Matthew Paisner, ScrubaDub’s managing partner.

Paisner says there’s a serious, heartfelt mission behind the lighthearted idea. All pumpkin spice car wash proceeds during the month of November will support Community Servings, a nonprofit that provides medically tailored meals for critically ill people in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

“It is such a lovely, heartwarming fall scent that makes us all get ready in New England for what’s coming ahead, which is Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving table is so important, and it really means something to all of us,” said Darcy Pfeifer, the director of development at Community Servings.

The car washes are available at all ScrubaDub locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine. Customers can also buy a Thanksgiving pie online, which provides a week of meals for someone in need.

To get the full pumpkin spice experience, it’s recommended those going through the car wash turn off their car’s air recirculation system and turn on their heat or air conditioning.
