Prince Harry has been crowned one of the most attractive men in history, beating out competition from Hollywood heartthrobs, a former England captain, and a One Direction star.

Harper’s Bazaar’s list of all-time hottest men places the Duke of Sussex at number 25, ranking higher than David Beckham, Bradley Cooper and Channing Tatum.

Despite his royal upbringing and constant media attention, there are still aspects of Harry’s life that may surprise fans, including his “real name”. The prince is known as Harry in everyday life, but was born Henry Charles Albert David.

He is the youngest son of King Charles and the late Princess Diana, who affectionately called him Harry, a nickname that has stuck. Unlike most, he doesn’t have a traditional surname, instead using Wales in his younger years and more recently Sussex.

He has also been known to use the name Mountbatten-Windsor, a moniker used by Queen Elizabeth II’s descendants on official documents. Both Princess Anne and Prince Andrew used it on their marriage certificates, as does Lady Louise, Prince Edward’s daughter.

Prince William has also been known to use the name on official documents, reports the Express.

While Harry seldom uses his “real” first name, it is often employed for official announcements by The Royal Family. For instance, when his engagement to Meghan Markle was announced, Kensington Palace referred to him as “His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales”.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, the Duke of Sussex and his wife had a fortune of £46 million earlier in 2024. However, upon turning 40, Harry received a financial boost from a fund set aside by his late great-grandmother.

The Queen Mother reportedly left a £14 million fortune to be divided between Harry and his older brother, Prince William. Harry is believed to have received a slightly larger share due to the way the Royal Family distributes funds.

As the next in line to the throne, William will greatly benefit from the Duchy of Cornwall, a private estate that finances the public, charitable and private activities of the King’s heir. The fund from the Queen Mother means Harry now has an estimated net worth of around £53million.

Harry’s net worth also includes a significant amount the Duke and Duchess of Sussex received from their Netflix projects. This includes a tell-all documentary series about Harry and Meghan, and Heart of Invictus, which follows the Invictus Games.

It is also understood that Prince Harry received a £16 million advance for his explosive memoir Spare, as part of a four-book deal worth £32 million signed in June 2021.

Prince Harry is also believed to receive annual dividends from a fund set up by Princess Diana, which was created from the money she received from Charles during their 1996 divorce.

Meanwhile, the Harper’s Bazaar top spot went to American actor James Dean, known for his roles in Rebel Without a Cause, East of Eden, and Giant before his untimely death at age 24. Hollywood legend Marlon Brando took second place, followed by Cary Grant and Rock Hudson.

Contemporary stars like George Clooney (13), Brad Pitt (14) and Leonardo DiCaprio (15) also made the list. Former England captain David Beckham landed at 39, while One Direction’s Zayn Malik was placed at 48.

Harry was ranked just behind Jake Gyllenhaal but ahead of John Stamos.
