AUSTIN, Texas — The city of Round Rock is launching a new holiday program to keep packages safe from thieves.
Operation Front Porch allows residents to ship packages directly to the Round Rock Police Department for free.
In order to participate in the program and pick up your package, you will need:
- Government-issued ID card
- Order or shipment proof of receipt
- Parents who will be picking up packages addressed to their children must provide proof of guardianship and/or the child’s ID
Qualifications for the program include:
- Being a resident of Round Rock
- Packages must be under 50 lbs
- The name of the person picking up the package must match the name on the mailing label
The program will be active from Nov. 11 through Dec. 20.
