Outlander fans can barely contain their excitement ahead of season 7, part 2, which will see Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) and her husband Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) return to our screens once more.
The epic fantasy romance show, based on author Diana Gabaldon’s popular book series of the same name, will return to Starz for the second half of its penultimate season.
Fans were recently in tears as the cast confirmed that filming had wrapped on the show’s eighth and final season, with Outlander’s beloved cast bidding emotional farewells after more than 100 episodes filmed over a decade.
Now, viewers have taken to Reddit to discuss a brand new promotional image of Claire and Jamie ahead of what looks to be a turbulent few episodes for the couple.
A recent trailer for the second half of season 7 showed the pair being ripped apart once again, even teasing Jamie’s death as Lord John Grey (David Berry) appears to break the terrible news to Claire that her husband is gone.
However, Claire remains unconvinced, stating: “I would feel it in my heart if it had stopped, mine would stop too.”
Speculating over the new snap of the spouses from TV Guide Magazine, Redditors have shared their thoughts ahead of the show’s return.
The loved-up snap shows Jamie and Claire dressed smartly holding hands, standing in front of a large stone house as they look back at the camera.
“That’s really beautiful,” one fan commented in reaction to the Reddit post, while another gushed: “My favorite book and show, Im soooo excited.” (sic)
“Yassss been rereading the series and cannot wait!!!” another enthused, as a fourth commented: “Gorgeous pic, thanks for sharing. Only a few weeks away, how exciting!” (sic)
“I’m hoping I’ll have watched all of the last couple seasons before this drops!!! So glad I started watching outlander when I did!!” another viewer penned excitedly. (sic)
“I adore this,” yet another fan shared, as one more admitted: “Makes me want to cry.”
