A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a dad in North Ayrshire.

Police confirmed on Friday night that the teenager had now been charged in connection with the death of John Taylor in Kilwinning.

Mr Taylor, aged 44, was found with serious injuries on Pollock Crescent around 1.55pm on Friday, October 18. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Earlier today, police revealed that a 53-year-old man was arrested in connection with Mr Taylor’s death.

A 26-year-old man was previously arrested and charged in connection with the death earlier in the week.

Enquiries are ongoing.

Detectives have set up a website that gives members of the public access to a form to send information directly to the Major Investigation Team, which can be submitted anonymously.
