Fans of Virgin River have been meticulously dissecting a newly released poster for the upcoming sixth season, which showcases the main characters in an engaging group scene.

The excitement follows Netflix’s announcement that the beloved series will return for a seventh season, even though the sixth season is yet to premiere.

Fans of the show are overjoyed with the news and are eagerly anticipating the return of Mel Monroe (portrayed by Alexandra Breckenridge) and Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) to their screens.

With another 10 episodes on the horizon, Virgin River has set a new benchmark as Netflix’s longest-running English-language drama series to date, reports the Mirror.

The show’s success can be attributed to its compelling romantic storylines and the charming, intimate setting of a small town.

The ensemble cast, featuring Sarah Dugdale, Tim Matheson, Kandyse McClure, Zibby Allen, Ben Hollingsworth, and Colin Lawrence, was recently showcased in a fresh poster with the iconic Jack’s Bar serving as the perfect backdrop.

A Reddit user by the handle @Dapper-Mulberry-5362 posted the latest image, captioning it: “Will the new poster mirror the S6? Weren’t we promised more Mel and Jack?”

They further fuelled speculation by asking: “Your thoughts on the new poster, considering there is almost the whole cast compared to only Mel and Jack to previous seasons?” (sic)

Some viewers aren’t placing too much importance on how prominently the show’s central relationship features, however, with one remarking: “Posters really don’t ever tell you much. Don’t read too much into it.”

“VR is more than Jack Mel people… there many characters that we love… From what we saw in the trailer there will be a lot of Jack Mel, relax,” another fan pointed out. (sic)

An optimistic third added: “The first S6 trailer is only about on Mel and Jack and the lead up to their wedding, and they’re at the centre of this poster. I’m quietly confident we’re going to see a lot of them – but not necessarily together all the time.” (sic)

On the other hand, a few more fans have highlighted the “sad” looking predicament between Brie (Allen) and Brady (Hollingsworth).

One sympathised, saying: “Brady having nobody is a bit sad. Looks like he was getting a bit of a redemption story, I hope he doesn’t get shafted in S6, hope he pulls through the trouble with Lark (and Jimmy) from last season, a great little twist by the way.” (sic)

Fans hoping for a romantic fix hinted at a possible reunion, with one suggesting: “Brady and Brie are looking at each other tho…” (sic)

Matching sentiments, another said: “Brie may be with someone in this poster but if you look at her face, she sure looks sad and distant. Kinda mirrors Brady’s face,” indicating underlying emotions. (sic)

A more lighthearted response came from another viewer, who penned: “Oh no! Bree and Brady, eyeing one another from across the room … lol.” (sic)

Meanwhile, another fan observed: “Brady and Brie looking at each other is a nice touch. Wonder how Lark will mess up Brady this time tho.” (sic)

Virgin River season 6 will premiere Thursday, December 19 on Netflix.
