CINCINNATI (WXIX/Gray News) – A 5-year-old boy has died after he was shot in a drive-by shooting earlier this week in Cincinnati.

According to the Cincinnati Police Department, the boy, identified as 5-year-old Artagist Stanford III, died on Saturday.

He was taken to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital after he was injured in the shooting on Thursday. But he did not survive.

The shooting happened around 5 a.m. on Holland Drive near Vivian Place in Winton Hills.

Police radio traffic indicated three to four shots were fired into the home.

Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge said they didn’t have any suspect(s) and did not know the motive behind the shooting, but the investigation remains ongoing.

Artagist attended Winton Hills Academy, according to Cincinnati Public Schools.
