BECKLEY, W.Va. – A Beckley man was arrested this evening in connection to the fire that destroyed the former Governers mansion in Beckley.
According to a press release from the WV State Fire Marshal’s Office David W. Cole, 30, of Beckley was taken into custody.
Cole is being charged with First Degree Arson and Conspiracy to commit a felony.
The fire was set on October 20, 2024, at the mansion that was located on Crestview Road.
Cole is awaiting arraignment at the Southern Regional Jail.
