On last night’s live Big Brother episode, another housemate was given the boot, marking the third eviction following nominations from their peers.

Presenters AJ Odudu and Will Best announced to the nation that Izaaz had racked up the highest number of votes, signalling his departure, much to the relief of his fellow nominees Khaled, Marcello, and Nathan.

Dad-of-one Izaaz bid farewell to his allies with a rousing send-off, as he stepped out of the house to raucous cheers from the audience.

However, the eviction left viewers decidedly underwhelmed as many had tipped Marcello for the exit after heated disputes within the house over the past few days.

Over on social media, X (formerly Twitter) was abuzz with reactions, as one user lamented: “Evicting him over Marcello is actually insane, I’ve lost hope in the British public #bbuk”, reports MyLondon.

Another viewer aired their discontent, stating: “Super disappointed with the public and keeping Marcello in that house #bbuk.”

One more chipped in with a comment saying: “Can’t believe I waited all week for this eviction and Marcello will still be on our screens another week, ridiculous #BBUK.”

Echoing the sentiment, another fan remarked: “Honestly Izaaz being evicted against Marcello, Khaled and Nathan shows everything wrong with the British public when it comes to voting #bbuk.”

A different individual confessed their bafflement: “I’m soo confused. I understand that Izaaz was fairly quiet, but Marcello makes all of these comments, yet he’s still in the house. I liked Izaaz #bbuk.”

Lastly, a disgruntled viewer conveyed disappointment with how the series was unfolding: “Last two eviction results have been a mess. I don’t feel confident for the rest of the series at all #bbuk.”

The tranquillity of the abode was shattered this week, following a schism among the combative housemates, leading to a formation of two factions.

One bloc comprised Khaled, Marcello, Segun, and Hanah, while the opposing camp included Ali, Lily, and Martha, leaving the remainder of the occupants caught in limbo.

Tensions soared after Dean and Ali, the heads of the household, chose to protect Lily and Hanah from eviction only to nominate Marcello and Khaled instead, sparking an intense confrontation between Khaled and Ali.

Ali found herself at odds not just with Khaled, as she also clashed with Marcello when he made remarks that she found distasteful.

Adding fuel to the fire, Big Brother reprimanded the group for a rule infringement by replaying a discussion in which Segun, Hanah, and Khaled referred to Ali as a “wolf” and “witch”.

Big Brother continues on Sunday night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
