Strictly Come Dancing’s Halloween week saw Pete Wicks and his dance partner Jowita Przystal take to the floor with a hauntingly stylish Viennese Waltz, backed by the classic Frank Sinatra hit That’s Life.

The dance duo impressed in full Joker attire and their performance received glowing comments from the panel, snagging them a high score of 31.

Judge Anton du Beke claimed it was Pete’s “best dance of the series,” although he admitted: “It’s not perfect yet but it was terribly, terribly good.”

Shirley Ballas, head of the judging panel, observed: “I saw some lovely footwork, the frame I can really see you’re trying to keep it up… when you play this back tonight you are going to be very, very proud of yourself like I am.”

Viewers aired their praise for Pete and Jowita on Instagram, with one admirer posting: “So good!! Can’t believe how much Pete has improved over the weeks”, reports the Express.

Someone else penned: “WHAT A DANCE!!! So nice to see Pete’s confidence and how much improvement he is making!

A further commenter enthused: “Better and better each week! You’re exactly what SCD is all about. Buckle up the final @p_wicks01 it’s coming for you.”

One viewer enthused: “I’m loving watching these two. Every week Pete gets better and better. Jowita is definitely bringing out the best of him. I’d so love to see them in the final.”

Another fan praised: “Incredible! Pete, that was off the scale, my husband and my kids all absolutely loved this too. Well done Jowita you are an amazing teacher and choreographer.”

A sixth viewer gushed: “Pete, you were amazing tonight and I can see you are a great guy. You deserve big, good times ahead.”

This week’s performance marked a significant improvement for Pete, earning their highest score of the series and a notable increase from last week’s score of 22.
