Shady Spring, W.Va. – Pikeview and Shady Spring Boys soccer met in the AA-A R3 S2 Championship final Saturday evening for a second year in a row.
The two teams had faced off twice before this one, in the 2024 campaign.
Until last night, Pikeview had not beaten Shady Spring in either match up, Shady won the first 2-0, while the two teams finished in a 0-0 tie a few weeks ago.
This one was all Pikeview as they netted 3 goals, 1 from Matt Murphy and 2 from Ty Thompson.
The team also received a big-time effort from Keeper Drew Damewood who did not budge one bit throughout its entirety.
With the win, The Panthers will now move on to play in regionals on Halloween night against Charleston Catholic at 7:00 pm.
