Viewers who tuned into Channel 4’s hit show Four in a Bed couldn’t believe what they heard, as one couple admitted to charging their guests £300 per night.

The popular afternoon programme which sees four B&B owners go head to head to discover which establishment comes out on top was back for another episode on Monday (October 28) with four brand new couples. Lee and Emma were the first to show off their Bed and Breakfast as their guests arrived at their stunning Laurel Bank Hotel in Fife.

But before their guests arrived, viewers got a chance to see who Lee and Emma’s competitors were and a glimpse of what they would offer at their B&Bs. However, friends Ashley and Winnie left fans with a bad taste in their mouths when they revealed that their cabins would set visitors back £300 per night.

Fans who were unhappy with the high figure headed to X in their droves to share their thoughts. One viewer fumed: “£300 for a pod a night?? Extortion.”

Another confused viewer also asked: “£300 a night – did I hear right?” While a fifth viewer said: “Them ones doing the pod for £300 not even supplying cheapie breaky hamper.”

Although fans haven’t got round to seeing Winnie and Ashley host just yet, B&B owners Lee and Emma came out swinging during Monday’s show. Leaving their attendees more than impressed, many couldn’t believe how spacious and clean the rooms were.

The food was also exceptional as the guest awarded them with high scores. Showcasing some of what Fife had to offer Lee and Emma also took their guests to an Edwardian mansion complete with its own golf course.

Fans at home also felt Lee and Emma got off to a good start, with one spectator sharing: “Overall I think this was good value hotel not bad start.”

Another agreed and penned: “Place was nice and clean, brekkie was good. Early contender.”

Four in a Bed airs Monday-Friday at 5pm on Channel 4.
