Kilmarnock youngster Aidan Glavin was the star of the show in Elgin City’s Scottish Cup win over Clyde as the keeper saved a staggering six penalties – and even scored one too for good measure.

The 19-year-old is enjoying a successful loan spell with the SPFL League Two side and his heroics helped to set up a third round clash at home to Kelty Hearts.

Glavin saved a Logan Donnachie spot-kick in extra-time to ensure the game went to penalties at Borough Briggs – before stopping a further five in the marathon shoout-out which Elgin won 8-7 after 12 penalties apiece.

The keeper saved efforts from Andy Murdoch, Kyle Connell, Craig Howie, Own Cairns and Paul McKay to seal the victory.

Fellow Killie loanee Kian Leslie played the full 120 minutes for Elgin and netted his spot-kick.
