(CNN) – If you are looking for a shorter work week, you might want to tell your boss about what’s happening in Iceland.

Two think tanks published new research showing that Iceland’s economy has boomed since introducing a four-day workweek with no pay reduction.

Data show that between 2020 and 2022, 51% of workers had accepted the offer of shorter working hours.

A year later, Iceland logged faster economic growth than most European countries.

Not only that, but its unemployment rate is now one of the lowest in Europe.

There have been a number of experiments with a four-day week around the world.

This includes a successful trial in 2022 across 33 companies, with the majority based in the U.S. and Ireland.
