A woman has died after being found seriously injured on a street in Glasgow. Emergency services raced to St Mungo Avenue in the city’s Townhead after receiving reports of a disturbance at 1.55pm on Tuesday.
Crews attended and the woman was pronounced dead a short time later. Police say they are currently treating her death as unexplained. Inquiries are ongoing.
Officers remain at the scene. A statement from Police Scotland said: “We were called around 12.55pm on Tuesday, 29 October, to a report of a disturbance in the St Mungo Avenue area of Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and a woman was found seriously injured. She was pronounced dead a short time later.
“Officers remain at the scene. The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
