A fourth man has been arrested in connection with the death of John Taylor in Kilwinning, police announced today.

Enquiries remain ongoing into Mr Taylor’s death after he was found with serious injuries on Pollock Crescent at around 1.55pm on Friday, October 18.

Police confirmed on Wednesday, October 30, that a second 19-year-old man had been arrested.

Two men, one aged 26 and a separate 19-year-old, have previously been arrested and charged in connection with the death.

The 26-year-old appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, October 23 and the 19-year-old on Monday, October 28.

A 53-year-old man who was previously arrested, has been released pending further enquiries.

Detectives have set up a website that gives members of the public access to a form to send information directly to the Major Investigation Team, which can be submitted anonymously.
